An exciting\, hopeful and sometimes even absurd image\, living in our fantasies and always present in our dreams. \nYet\, there are some who dare to look far beyond what is known\, things that are seen as normal or generally accepted as common thinking. People who look deep into the depths of the unknown\, balance at its edge\, and take the leap. Because they want to\, have to or need to: because they think they can make a difference and be of a positive change. \nAt Vibe of the Future Festival\, we share the stories of these people. Their ups and downs\, struggles and dreams\, the knowledge they gained along the road and impact they hope to make. An inspiring and fun festival\, where we will explore new perspectives on innovation\, entrepreneurship and science – and especially their meaning and value for a future-proof society. All while enjoying art\, creative foods\, making new connections and chill and lounge! \nTogether we will experience the: Vibe of the Future! \n\n\n\n\n\nWhen & Where\nThe festival takes place on September 8th from 16:00hrs – 22:00hrs\, at Noviotech Campus in Nijmegen. The Noviotech Campus is an innovation ecosystem of 3500+ innovators who strive to be of a meaningful and positive change for a future-proof society. We are located in Nijmegen\, the oldest city of The Netherlands: the ultimate spot for exploring new horizons and laying the foundations of the future. \nWe are proud to host and organize this festival – together with our partners – and hope to once again bring together an ambitious and creative community of innovators in health & high tech. A source of unexpected connections\, where bright initiatives spring and one thing leads to another. \n\n\n\n\n\nProgram & Tickets\nWe set up an inspiring\, surprising and fun program – hosted by Tom van ’t Hek. We will be publishing the final schedule in the coming weeks\, but you can find the global overview below. \n16:00 hrs – Afternoon program starts on the mainstage: \n\nWilhelm Huck (Radboud University)- about establishing a robotlab\, with supercomputers that will use AI for optimizing industrial standards and search for the origins of life.\nWork Hard\, Play Hard – about the race for talent\, from the perspective of the talents.\nErwin van Wijk (Radboud University) – and one of his patients\, about his research and its impact on Usher Syndrome.\nTimo van den Berg (Byondis) – About the power of immuno-oncology.\n\n18:00 hrs- Evening program starts on the mainstage: \n\nBas Bloem (Radboudumc) – about the unexpected values of art and creativity and what it can mean for the research and treatment of Parkinson’s Disease.\nLucas de Man (Company New Heroes) – with a talk on biobased design of the future.\n#womenintech – three women about their experiences of working in health & high tech.\nDe Nieuwe Oost – Dance & Spoken Word performance\n\nThroughout the entire festival\, you can enjoy and visit: \n\nInspiration lounge – meetup with innovators\, entrepreneurs and changemakers in health & high tech (like RvN@\, Health Valley network area\, HAN University and Radboud University education and innovation square\, young talent communities and many more)\nSoccerclub NEC – sports and vitality check-up.\nArt & Design Technology – creative and artistic exposition\, by students of ArtEZ\, who dove into health & high tech and reproduced their findings.\nFood & Drink court – creative and tasty foods and drinks.\nFilms & Talks – with InScience Film Festival!\n\n——————————————————————- \nPlease note\, you can order two types of tickets: \n1) Full festival ticket (16:00 – 22:00 hrs) – access to both the afternoon and evening program \n2) Evening ticket (18:00 – 22:00 hrs) – access to evening program \n\n\n\n\n\nJoin The Vibe!\nThe event is open to anyone who is involved with or interested in innovation\, entrepreneurship and science in the health and high tech industries. \nGet your tickets here for free entrance to the festival. SUMMARY:Dag van het Stationsgebied
DESCRIPTION:Op 22 september is de dag van het Stationsgebied. Kom alles te weten over de plannen voor dit gebied. Dit is het gebied van de Hezelpoort tot aan het viaduct van de Graafseweg\, en van de schouwburg tot aan het voormalige UWV-gebouw. Deze dag staat in het teken van het informeren en inspireren van Nijmegenaren. We gaan in gesprek over maatschappelijke thema’s die in het stationsgebied samenkomen en voor Nijmegen belangrijk zijn. Zo leveren we een bijdrage aan het oplossen van de Nijmeegse woningnood\, en zorgen we ervoor dat het gebied aantrekkelijker wordt en een plezierige plek om te wonen. Maar we moeten dit gebied ook bereikbaar houden\, zorgen dat het groener en duurzamer wordt en dat de omgeving goed hittebestendig is.

DESCRIPTION:Op vrijdag 30 september en zaterdag 1 oktober 2022 is GrondFest’22. Hét gratis toegankelijke festival voor en over de democratie in de Nijmeegse binnenstad. Twee dagen vol lezingen\, debatten\, rondleidingen en workshops\, maar ook met activiteiten voor de jeugd\, theater\, VR-experiences en de mogelijkheid om elkaar te ontmoeten in de Nijmeegse horeca. \nFestival Grondfest\nHet is een festival voor iedereen die werkt met en voor de democratie\, maar juist ook voor wie dat (nog) niet doet. Voor jong en oud\, van links tot rechts\, met verschillende meningen en achtergronden en vanuit alle hoeken van onze samenleving. Iedereen is welkom en mag meedoen\, want ieders stem doet ertoe in een democratie. \n\nMeer informatie over het festival.

SUMMARY:InnoTeP 2022: Innovatie in voeding
DESCRIPTION:Vanzelfsprekend\, of een grote uitdaging? Er gebeurt veel op het terrein van voeding\, en dat staat centraal op InnoTeP 2022. Carla Boonstra (Leider van het landbouwteam bij de Permanente Vertegenwoordiging van Nederland bij de Europese Unie en landbouwraad op de Nederlandse ambassade in Brussel.) trapt op vrijdag 30 september af met een beschouwing over strategieën voor een duurzame voedselvoorziening. En dat laat zien dat er eigenlijk veel teveel is voor één middag. Daarom kozen wij drie thema’s om verder de diepte in te gaan: akkerbouw\, de eiwittransitie\, en verwerken & bewaren. \nIn de akkerbouw is innovatie gemeengoed: KeyGene laat zien hoe het gewas zelf verandert door de inzet van biotechnologie; Corné Kempenaar\, leider van het project Nationale Proeftuin Precisielandbouw en Maarten van Dam van Regeneratieve Boerderij Schevichoven vertellen over teeltmethoden en ondernemerschap in de akkerbouw. Dit blok sluit af met een discussie over de rol van technologie in land- en tuinbouw onder leiding van Jouke Kardolus (OostNL). \nIn het tweede blok staat de eiwittransitie centraal. Hoe en waardoor worden dierlijke eiwitten in ons dieet vervangen? Rianne van Zandbrink (Transitie Coalitie Voedsel) vertelt over wat deze transitie precies inhoudt. Marieke Laméris (Lekker Lupine)\, Bobeldijk Food Group en Phycom bespreken enkele belangrijke alternatieven voor dierlijk eiwit\, en waarom die lekker en verantwoord zijn. \nMaar hoe zorg je dat voedsel uiteindelijk op een aantrekkelijke\, veilige en efficiënte manier op ons bord komt? Daarover gaat het derde blok\, verwerken en bewaren. Magie Creations gebruikt een reststroom uit de brouwerij om brood te maken\, Foodjet ontwikkelt machines op basis van printtechnologie voor de voedingsmiddelenindustrie en Baltussen Konserven maakt gebruik van de nieuwste technieken om biologisch geteelde groenten en fruit te conserveren. Wouter de Heij (TOP BV) leidt ons na deze voorbeelden in vogelvlucht door het landschap van de voedselverwerking.
